KarenKrause Audiobook Narrator
I love books!!
Especially books with quirky female protagonists. But mostly I love reading books - out loud. Mysteries, fantasies, thrillers, historical novels, classics . . . actually, I guess I'm not too picky. So it's no wonder this trained stage actress took to audiobook narration like a duck to water. With skills in accents/dialects and character voices, it's more fun than a frog in a glass of milk! |

In addition to steady on-stage performance, she regularly participates in classes, workshops, intensives, and one-on-one training. When it comes to audiobooks, Karen is equally dedicated to learning and improving her skills. She regularly attends audiobook workshops, conferences, and master classes and has studied with noteable audiobook narrator coaches such as Joel Froomkin, Johnny Heller, Carol Monda, Scott Brick, PJ Ochlan, and more. Her aptitude for dialects/accents and character voices makes her a great fit for fiction and bios/memoirs.

ABOUT
My love of books started the minute I found out that when you put single letters together, they made words! Wow! It still amazes me.
As I grew up, a book was always in my hand, whether while eating, sitting in the nearest tree, or hiding under the covers when I was supposed to be asleep.
Then when I joined my two sisters singing with my daddy's band when I was "knee-high to a grasshopper" (as they say in my native Ozark Mountains), I was hooked on performing. So I continued to look for stages on which to perform and landed the title role in my first stage play when I was in 5th grade. And that's when my love of theatre blossomed. I’ve been performing ever since, playing to anyone unfortunate enough to sit in my presence.
When I found books on tape (literally "on tape" at the time) I discovered I could read just about any time, no matter what I was doing. It took a while for the epiphany to hit (that I could read books out loud and people would actually listen to them), but when it did, I ran with it. And I’m still running.
